There are always many reasons to be amazed by Merano. In the spring, the city blossoms and shows itself from its most beautiful side. During this time of the year the Merano Flower Festival is on stage:
The traditional Gallop Race of Haflinger horses traditionally takes place every year on Easter Monday. This is the kick-off event of the race season of the hippodrome in Maia Bassa/Merano
The 2018 Merano Spring event comprises the first Merano Flower Festival (April 24 to 26), featuring a wide range of options in the heart of town. Renowned gardening experts from Italy and abroad will be present at a free flower- and plant market in the public spa park and on the Thermenallee.
At the beginning of the running season locals and top international athletes run between blooming apple trees!
Plenty of fun is in store for young and old alike at the Asfaltart festival: clowns, puppet theatre, trapeze artists, jugglers, pantomimes and acrobats will all be appearing on the streets and squares of Merano.
The popular event series "TuesdayNight in Merano" offers new themes each year and delights with evening concerts, fashion shows and performances in the town center.
10 days of music in the summery South Tyrol. International jazz stars will provide you with music al highlights on the main stage. Daily music on the streets and squares, in bars and restaurants!
For three high-spirited days, the whole town center celebrates. The ingredients: authentic flavors, local food and music, entertainment and a friendly atmosphere. Everyone is welcome at the 29th Merano Old Town Festival (August 07-09.08.2020), and they’ll all be carried away into a tide of delightful diversion.
The Merano Grape Festival has taken place every year since 1886! The mix of tradition and customs, music and entertainment, good wines and food in front of the picturesque scenery of autumn in Merano is very popular amongst locals and guests.
Top quality classical music. The International South Tyrol Classic Festival spoils the audience with fine tunes from the world of classical music.
